Research focus

Experimenting with putting a barrier (in the form of a large box) between a performer and the audience, and the blurring role of performer and audience member: who is leading who, who is driving the piece, and who is watching. What is necessary in order for an audience to learn through the performance the rules of the world, and what they are allowed or required to do to experience the piece? Ways to implicate the audience into experimenting with what they are watching so that they do not remain a passive audience.
